Overview
- Ranchi and Jamshedpur shut in-person classes from KG to Class 12 through January 6 under BNSS Section 163 after a Yellow Alert from IMD Ranchi.
- An official Jharkhand state notification said all schools statewide will close January 6–8, with teachers reporting for non-academic duties and pre-board exams left to school assessment.
- Jaipur ordered holidays for Pre-Primary to Class 5 from January 6–10 and for Classes 6–8 from January 6–8, with staff attendance required and exams unchanged.
- Rajasthan officials also extended student holidays in Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bundi, including revised timings for higher classes in some districts.
