Overview
- Fresh light to trace snowfall was confirmed in high-altitude areas including Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu and passes such as Rohtang, with snow reported at Keylong and Kukumseri.
- The Manali–Leh highway between Darcha and Sarchu and the Koksar–Palchan route via Rohtang Pass were closed, and police rescued five tourists stranded near Chatru.
- Temperatures fell sharply, with Tabo dropping to minus 5.5°C, Keylong to minus 3.2°C, Kukumseri to minus 2.1°C and Kalpa near freezing at 0.2°C.
- Lower and mid hills saw light rain, including 7 mm at Kothi, 6.2 mm at Sangla, 4.2 mm at Brahmani, 3.6 mm at Kalpa and 2 mm at Manali.
- Meteorological officials expect dry weather from November 6–11 with minimum temperatures likely to fall by another two to four degrees, and local businesses anticipate a lift in winter tourism.
