  • Deutscher Wetterdienst has issued warnings for severe thunderstorms in Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and northern Bavaria.
  • Forecasts call for 25–35 liters of rain per square meter, hail up to 3 cm in diameter and wind gusts between 80 and 100 km/h.
  • Localized showers moved into central Germany this morning and will intensify this afternoon as the cold front advances.
  • By late afternoon, the storms are expected to shift east into Poland and weaken overnight, yielding only isolated showers by Wednesday.
  • Following the front, incoming maritime polar air is set to bring calmer, more stable weather conditions by Wednesday.
