- Forecasts indicate the system will spread across the northwest and into the north Friday and Saturday, with 60–70 km/h gusts over the Gulf of California, Baja California, Sonora and Chihuahua.
- Snow or sleet is possible in high elevations including the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir and northern Sonora, with very strong winds and continued surf along the west coast of the peninsula.
- A separate low-pressure channel interacting with modified arctic air is set to bring torrential rain to southern Quintana Roo and very strong winds over Oaxaca and the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec on Thursday.
- Minimum temperatures could drop to -10 to -5 °C in mountain areas of Chihuahua and Durango, with -5 to 0 °C and frost in several states; authorities also warn of 2.5–3.5 m surf on the Pacific side and 2.0–3.0 m in the Gulf of Tehuantepec and advise standard cold-weather and CO poisoning precautions.
