Coin Center Refuses to Answer Sen. Warren's Questions, Labels Proposed Crypto Bills as Unfair and Unconstitutional

Crypto industry policy group Coin Center has refused to answer questions posed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, arguing that her accusations discourage participation in important public policy debates.
Sen. Warren accused Coin Center and other crypto entities of hiring former defense and law enforcement officials to undermine legislative efforts aimed at preventing crypto’s alleged use in terror financing activities.
Coin Center has labeled the proposed bills as unfair, unworkable, and an infringement on constitutional rights, stating that opposition to them is not just proper, but indeed patriotic.
Coin Center suggests that resources could be better allocated to bolstering enforcement agencies like FinCEN, the FBI, and the DOJ’s crypto units, rather than pursuing the proposed legislation.
Sen. Warren's office was closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and has not yet responded to Coin Center's rebuttal.
