Cofepris Flags Falsified Humalog Mix 25 Insulin in Mexico

Acting on documentation from Eli Lilly, the regulator warns consumers to verify sources.

  • Authorities issued a sanitary alert for Humalog Mix 25 (insulina lispro/lispro protamina) 100 UI/mL sold as a 10 mL vial presentation.
  • The following lots are identified as falsified: D709739A (15 FEB 27), D711733A (01 MAR 27), D723069C (14 MAR 27), D669594A (23 OCT 26), D709740E (20 FEB 27), and D711757C (28 MAR 27).
  • Two additional lots show inconsistencies in manufacturing and ingredient codes and carry unrecognized documentation: D483156A (13 APR 25) and D513762C (31 MAY 25).
  • Cofepris warns the flagged products pose health risks because their stability, quality, efficacy and safety cannot be guaranteed given unknown manufacturing, storage and transport conditions.
  • Consumers and pharmacies are told not to use or buy the listed lots, to purchase only from authorized distributors with proper licenses and documentation, and to report adverse reactions via [email protected] or the online pharmacovigilance link.
