Unrivaled, a new professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, will debut on January 17 in Miami.
Coco Gauff, 20, announced her investment in the league, citing her love for basketball and her commitment to advancing women’s sports.
The league has raised $35 million in funding, including a $28 million Series A round, with other notable investors like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Phelps, and Alex Morgan.
Unrivaled offers six teams, an eight-week season, and a one-on-one tournament, with players earning an average salary of $222,222 and equity in the league.
TNT Sports will broadcast the entire season, featuring an all-star lineup of commentators including Candace Parker, Renee Montgomery, and Lisa Leslie.
