The U.S. Coast Guard performed a dramatic rescue operation, airlifting Leo from a secluded beach below the cliff.
Leo was reunited with his owners in a nearby parking lot, and was subsequently taken to an emergency vet.
Leo sustained injuries including a collapsed lung, pulmonary contusions, several lacerations and bruises, a broken tooth and a broken jaw.
A GoFundMe campaign to cover Leo's veterinary expenses has raised over $10,000.
