Overview
- Lt. Connor Overstreet, 29, an active-duty Coast Guard pilot, was shot in the Bryn Mawr–Skyway neighborhood and later died after first responders found him in the roadway on Sunday, Aug. 23.
- The King County Medical Examiner has ruled Overstreet’s death a homicide from a gunshot wound to the chest.
- King County Major Crimes detectives are asking residents to check dash cameras and doorbell or street-facing surveillance between roughly 12:30 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. and to upload any footage using the county map/QR tool.
- No arrests have been reported, the Coast Guard confirmed Overstreet was an active-duty member and his remains were returned to his station with honors, and his family has increased the reward to $11,000 while publicly pleading for information.
