CNRT Approves Boca's La Bombonera Access Plan

The sign-off covers rail safety only, leaving city zoning and land deals still required before work can start.

Overview

  • Boca Juniors received transport regulator CNRT’s approval of its executive design for new stadium access under resolution DI-2026-199-APN-CNRT#MEC.
  • The authorization is limited to railway circulation and safety, so it does not replace other permits the project still needs.
  • The club says it will now submit the plan to Buenos Aires’ urban review office DGIUR, whose sign-off would be the last city step before construction.
  • The design calls for four elevator towers and eight two-level pedestrian bridges to improve access and help lift capacity toward more than 80,000 seats.
  • The planned structures would sit on land beside the Ferrocarril Roca line, leaving Boca responsible for building and upkeep and at risk of reoccupation by the rail operator unless it secures formal rights through the federal asset agency AABE or a purchase.
