CN Police Launch Rail Safety Week 2024 to Prevent Accidents and Save Lives

From September 23-29, CN employees will engage communities across North America to promote rail safety awareness.

Rail Safety Week will see CN employees and police officers actively sharing safety messages in communities across CN's network.
In 2023, there were 229 rail crossing and trespassing incidents in Canada, resulting in 66 fatalities and 39 serious injuries.
Over 428 communities have officially recognized Rail Safety Week, highlighting the importance of safe behavior around railways.
CN Police Services respond to hundreds of incidents annually and provide educational presentations to schools, trucking agencies, and community organizations.
