Overview
- The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety completed Phase 1 inspections on July 3–4, examining overhead electric gear, signaling and communication systems, track geometry, station facilities and emergency response provisions.
- The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority received a CMRS compliance checklist and will execute corrective works before a final certification inspection.
- Trial operations on Lines 2B and 9 began in mid-April to assess train performance and system integration across both elevated corridors.
- Phase 1 of Line 2B spans 5.39 km with five stations at Mandale, Mankhurd, Bharat Petroleum, Shivaji Chowk and Diamond Garden.
- Phase 1 of Line 9 covers 4.4 km with four stations at Dahisar (East), Pandurangwadi, Miragaon and Kashigaon and is on track for a December launch pending approval.
