CME to List Options on Solana and XRP Futures on Oct. 13, Pending Regulatory Approval

  • The new options will cover both standard and micro SOL and XRP futures and are designed to trade on CME Globex with clearing under CME’s risk framework.
  • Expiration choices will include daily business‑day listings as well as monthly and quarterly cycles to support a range of hedging and trading strategies.
  • Since launch, Solana futures have traded over 540,000 contracts totaling about $22.3 billion in notional value, with August records of 9,000 ADV and 12,500 open interest.
  • XRP futures have surpassed 370,000 contracts and $16.2 billion notional, with August records of 6,600 ADV and open interest reaching roughly $942 million.
