• Siddaramaiah arrived in Delhi on Monday night and greeted Bollywood actor Aamir Khan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with photos of their exchange going viral on social media.
• He met President Droupadi Murmu to urge assent for seven bills passed by the Karnataka legislature, covering education, mineral rights, notaries and registration laws.
• Pending proposals include an amendment to the Free and Compulsory Education Act, a 4% quota for Muslims in public contracts and new regulations for Hindu religious institutions.
• The chief minister highlighted that Karnataka has lost around Rs 80,000 crore under the 16th Finance Commission compared to the previous allocation.
