Overview

  • Albert Guinovart’s symphonic arrangement of Dagoll Dagom’s Mar i Cel received its Catalan debut on July 9, performed by the Liceu Symphony Orchestra under Sergi Cuenca with narration by Pep Cruz and Àngels Gonyalons.
  • The free concert drew approximately 30,000 attendees to Playa de Sant Sebastià, spanning musical theatre fans, tourists and newcomers to classical music.

  • Clàssica a la Platja is organized by Barcelona Obertura with support from the city council, the Liceu, Palau de la Música and Fundación La Caixa to democratize symphonic music through free beach performances.
