CloudSEK Secures $10 Million From Connecticut Innovations to Build US Hub

The state-backed investor's capital will fund a Connecticut hub to drive US hiring.

Overview

  • CloudSEK closed a $10 million Series B2 tranche from Connecticut Innovations, the venture arm of the State of Connecticut.
  • The company says it is the first Indian-origin cybersecurity firm to receive funding from a U.S. state-backed venture fund.
  • Plans call for a regional hub in Connecticut with the U.S. team growing from five to 15 by March and to about 20 within 12–18 months.
  • With the new round, total funding reaches $29 million at an enterprise valuation near $200 million.
  • The B2 tranche mixes primary and secondary capital, follows a $19 million B1 led by Commvault, and stems from CloudSEK's standout showing at CI’s VentureClash.
