Overview
- At least five people were killed and eleven are missing in Uttarakhand after overnight cloudbursts triggered landslides in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Bageshwar, with families feared trapped under debris.
- The Jammu–Srinagar highway stayed closed for a fourth day due to multiple landslides in the Udhampur–Ramban belt, stranding more than 2,000 vehicles as BRO teams worked to clear the route.
- The Chandigarh–Manali corridor remained blocked in Mandi district after washouts, leaving hundreds of trucks and tourist vehicles stuck and causing spoilage of perishable cargo.
