Overview

• Rescuers recovered five more bodies in Chamoli on Friday, taking the toll to seven as two people remained unaccounted for in Nandanagar’s worst-hit villages of Kuntari Laga Phali, Kuntari Laga Sarpani, Sera and Dhurma.
• A man was pulled out alive after roughly 16 hours under debris in Kuntari Laga Phali, while 12 injured people have been treated and 95 residents shifted to relief camps, officials said.

• Himachal Pradesh reported a separate cloudburst in Kinnaur that swept away vehicles and damaged orchards and homes, while a landslide in Shimla blocked the city’s Circular Road; no casualties were reported in these incidents.
