Overview

  • Keep windows and blinds closed from 11am to 4pm to stop hotter outside air from entering your home
  • Open windows fully after 8pm or use the built-in night-vent setting to release trapped heat safely
  • Create cross-ventilation by opening windows on opposite sides and draw light-coloured curtains during peak hours
  • Avoid using ovens and other heat-generating appliances during the hottest part of the day to limit indoor temperature rises
  • Enhance comfort with simple passive cooling tactics such as placing a bowl of ice in front of a fan and switching to cotton or linen bedding
