Overview
- inXile debuted a new gameplay trailer called “The Heist” at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026, and confirmed Clockwork Revolution will arrive in 2027.
- Players will control a customizable protagonist, Morgan Vanette, and use a device called the Chronometer to travel into and alter the past, with abilities such as Displace that move objects and change combat and environment outcomes.
- The game ties narrative consequence to mechanics: changing past events produces “butterfly effects” that can alter allies, locations, and storylines and can make crew members like the Rotten Row Hooligans different on return.
- Clockwork Revolution will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Microsoft Store and Steam), be included with Xbox Game Pass, support Xbox Play Anywhere, and is confirmed as an Xbox-console exclusive at release.
- Coverage compared the steampunk setting and reactive systems to BioShock and Dishonored, and inXile and Xbox said more developer details will arrive before the 2027 launch.
