Clément Beaune Appointed to Lead France Stratégie and Haut-Commissariat au Plan

The appointment follows François Bayrou's move to the role of Prime Minister, leaving the position vacant since 2024.
Beaune's primary responsibility will be overseeing the fusion of the Haut-Commissariat au Plan and France Stratégie into a single entity.
Known for his left-leaning stance within Macron's political movement, Beaune previously opposed the government's immigration law in 2024.
This marks a return to public office for Beaune, who lost his parliamentary seat in the 2024 legislative elections to socialist Emmanuel Grégoire.
