A mayor in south Georgia is facing child molestation charges and his wife is accused of child cruelty, investigators said.

  • Joseph Kelly, 38, was arrested Saturday on two counts of child molestation following a joint Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Decatur County Sheriff’s Office probe.
  • Natalie Kelly, 44, was taken into custody on two counts of second-degree cruelty to children.
  • Both were booked into the Decatur County Jail and released on bonds of $55,400 for Joseph Kelly and $11,400 for Natalie Kelly.
