Cleveland National Air Show Returns to Burke Lakefront This Weekend With Thunderbirds Headlining

Organizers have shifted to advance, online-only sales for tickets, including parking.

  • The three-day show runs Saturday through Monday at Burke Lakefront Airport, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performing a 50-minute precision demonstration each day at speeds up to 500 mph and formations as close as three feet.
  • The lineup features the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet demo and the Red Bull Air Force’s first Cleveland appearance with aerobatic pilot Kirby Chambliss, helicopter pilot Aaron Fitzgerald, and Red Bull skydivers.
  • Thunderbirds aircraft arrived Thursday with a smoke-on flyover at Cleveland Hopkins as first-year pilot Maj. Laney Schol readies for her Cleveland debut in the No. 6 jet.
  • The U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team is slated to jump, and ground attractions include the Hot Streak II jet truck, which uses twin jet engines to top 350 mph.
  • General admission costs $40 for adults and $20 for children ages 6–11, kids 5 and under are free, and there will be no gate sales for tickets or parking.
