Cleveland Browns' David Njoku Continues Season Despite Severe Burn Injuries

Njoku, who suffered second-degree burns in a fire pit accident, will honor The American Burn Association in NFL's My Cause My Cleats campaign.

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns' tight end, suffered second-degree burns on 17 percent of his body in a home fire pit accident in September.
Despite the doctor's recommendation not to play, Njoku has not missed a game all season, even playing two days after the accident.
Njoku leads the Browns in receptions with 51, recording 492 receiving yards and scoring two touchdowns in 11 games this season.
The accident happened when Njoku tried to ignite the logs in his pit with a spray after running out of his usual lighter fluid, causing an explosion.
Njoku will wear custom cleats for NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign to support The American Burn Association.
