Claudio Ranieri Confirms End of Coaching Career After Current Season

The 73-year-old AS Roma coach, who came out of retirement in November, will step down after the Serie A season concludes.

Claudio Ranieri, coach of AS Roma, has announced he will retire from coaching at the end of the current Serie A season.
Ranieri, 73, initially retired after the 2023 season but returned in November 2024 to manage Roma, his third stint as a coach this season.
Under Ranieri's guidance, Mats Hummels, a 36-year-old former World Cup winner, has seen increased playing time after struggling under previous coaches.
Ranieri's previous successes include leading Leicester City to a historic Premier League title in 2016 and guiding Cagliari to Serie A promotion in 2023.
AS Roma, currently 10th in the Serie A standings, will begin searching for a new coach to lead the team toward greater domestic and European success.
