Claude, California Academy's Beloved Albino Alligator, Dies at 30

Claude, the California Academy of Sciences’ albino alligator and longtime resident of the Steinhart Aquarium, has died at 30 after a suspected infection.

  • The museum said caregivers had monitored a waning appetite in recent weeks and moved Claude behind the scenes for treatment.
