CLAT 2026 Is Today With Strict Entry, ID Checks and Biometric Verification

Centres will enforce biometric checks with a strict entry timetable to curb impersonation.

Overview

  • Exam runs from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in a single offline shift, with gates opening at 1:00 pm and closing at 2:15 pm.
  • Candidates must carry a printed colour admit card and an original government photo ID, plus two blue or black ballpoint pens and a transparent water bottle.
  • Mandatory biometric verification, on-site photo capture and signature checks will be completed before seating, and the sealed paper may be opened only at the 2:00 pm bell.
  • PwD/SAP candidates using scribes must report 90 minutes early with scribe authorisation documents, and extra time applies only to pre-approved candidates.
  • Prohibited items include electronic devices, wallets, jewellery, books, notes, food and extra stationery, and candidates are advised to wear simple, light-coloured clothing without metallic accessories.
