Classic Open Air Returns to Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt in 2025

After a two-year hiatus for renovations, the iconic festival will feature world-renowned artists in a newly restored venue.

The Classic Open Air festival will take place from July 17 to July 21, 2025, at Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt after a two-year break for renovations.
The event will open with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, conducted by Joana Mallwitz, and will feature performances by jazz star Gregory Porter and Giovanni Zarrella.
The festival will conclude with a performance by soprano Anna Netrebko and tenor Yusif Eyvazov, highlighting its star-studded lineup.
Renovations to the Gendarmenmarkt included the modernization of infrastructure such as electricity, water, and sewage systems, completed in late 2024.
Berlin's Mayor Kai Wegner emphasized the festival's importance in enhancing the city's cultural prominence.
