Classic '90s video game System Shock remade, ready to terrify new generation

Nightdive Studios has remade the 1994 sci-fi horror game System Shock, set in a space station in the year 2072 that rewards exploration and survival.
The remake is a faithful reconstruction of the original cult classic, with updated graphics and some gameplay changes, set for release May 30th.
System Shock pioneered the "immersive sim" genre, influencing later games like Deus Ex and Bioshock, though initial sales were low.
Set on a sinister space station, players must strategically fight enemies, manage resources, and solve integrated puzzles to progress through the open-ended game.
The System Shock team hopes to eventually make a third game, building on the success of the remake in bringing the franchise to new audiences.
