  • Clashes between the Chin National Defence Force and the Chinland Defence Force-Hualngoram began on July 2 and have resulted in CNDF overrunning eight CDF-Hualngoram camps along the border.
  • An estimated 4,000–6,000 refugees have crossed into Champhai district since July 6, adding to more than 32,000 Myanmar nationals already hosted by Mizoram.
  • Humanitarian groups backed by the state government have established shelters in Zokhawthar and Vaphai villages to provide food, medical aid and temporary housing.
  • Mizoram Police and Assam Rifles have reinforced patrols along the porous border after stray shelling struck border towns and four fleeing refugees drowned in the Tiau River.
