- On July 8, captains Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier alternated selections from eight starters and twelve reserves to finalize their 2025 All-Star rosters.
- Clark used the No. 1 pick on Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston and built her starting five with Kelsey Mitchell, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson and Satou Sabally.
- Collier opened with New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart, then added Allisha Gray, Nneka Ogwumike and rookie Paige Bueckers before choosing reserves including Angel Reese.
- In a first for the event, the captains agreed to swap head coaches, sending Sandy Brondello to Team Clark and Cheryl Reeve to Team Collier.
- Minnesota coach Cheryl Reeve, who had publicly questioned her Lynx’s All-Star representation, will now face her own players on the opposing bench when the game tips off July 19.
