Overview

• Clarisa Figueroa, 51, was sentenced to 50 years without parole for the murder of Marlen Ochoa-Lopez and for cutting the baby from her womb.
• The crime was committed in 2019 when Figueroa lured Ochoa-Lopez to her home under the pretense of giving free baby clothes.
• Figueroa attempted to pass off the stolen baby as her own, but was exposed after DNA tests showed she was not the mother.
• The child, sadly, died two months later due to complications from the traumatic birth.
• Desiree Figueroa, Clarisa's daughter, also involved in the crime, testified against her mother and received a 30-year sentence.
