Overview

  • Claim forms are available at CanadianBreadSettlement.ca for residents outside Quebec as of Dec. 31, 2021, and at QuebecBreadSettlement.ca for Quebec residents.
  • The $500 million resolution combines $404 million from Loblaw and George Weston with $96 million credited to Loblaw’s 2018–19 gift-card program.
  • Shoppers who did not previously take the $25 Loblaw card may receive up to $25, subject to final distribution after legal fees and court-approved terms.
  • Prior gift-card recipients may receive only incremental compensation if sufficient funds remain and the amount exceeds the $5 minimum payment threshold.
  • After fees, 78% of consumer funds are allocated to Ontario claimants and 22% to Quebec, while business and resale funds are being held in trust for later court-directed distribution.
