C.J. Nitkowski Joins Braves as Primary TV Analyst

Move allows Jeff Francoeur to spend more time with family while maintaining occasional broadcast roles.

C.J. Nitkowski, former Rangers analyst and Braves pitcher, has been hired as the primary analyst for the Atlanta Braves' television broadcast team.
Jeff Francoeur, the previous primary analyst, will now have more time to spend with his family, but will continue his postseason broadcast role with TBS and occasional stints in the Braves' TV booth.
Francoeur and Hall of Famer Tom Glavine are expected to work about 20 games each.
Nitkowski, who has a 10-year MLB career and has been serving as Texas’ television analyst since 2017, expressed his excitement about the opportunity.
Nitkowski's appointment is seen as a homecoming, as he pitched for the Braves in 2004 and lives in suburban Atlanta.
