Overview

  • Chapter-I’s first project is “Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess,” a KoreaJapan co-produced survival show slated to premiere on Mnet in October.
  • The program unites the teams behind “Unpretty Rapstar” and “Street Woman Fighter” with Hakuhodo contributing storytelling and marketing expertise.
  • Beyond television, the joint company plans to run content development, digital marketing, artist management, music production, live events and merchandising.
  • The partners say the JV will create sustainable, globally oriented music IP and audition formats for audiences beyond Asia.
  • Chapter-I draws on CJ ENM’s Music Creative eco-System and Hakuhodo’s data-driven branding to scout versatile artists skilled in rap, dance and production.
