Overview
- On July 14, Civil Guard radar patrols detected a woman traveling at 192 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the A-73 at kilometre 63.5 near Aguilar de Campoo.
- During the same operation, a traffic unit on the N-550 between Carracedo and Caldas de Reis recorded a 30-year-old man at 191 km/h in a 70 km/h section.
- Both drivers are under formal investigation for alleged crimes against road safety under Article 379.1 of the Spanish Criminal Code.
- Violations of Article 379.1 carry penalties of three to six months’ imprisonment, six to twelve months of fines or community service, plus a driving ban of one to four years.
