Citywide Banners and Transit Upgrades Herald Dead & Company’s 60th Anniversary

Tickets are available for a live IMAX simulcast of the Aug. 3 show alongside nationwide screenings of a newly remastered Grateful Dead film.

Dead & Company will stream their final Golden Gate Park concert live in IMAX theaters nationwide Aug. 3 to celebrate 60 years of the Grateful Dead.

Overview

  • Over 400 Grateful Dead–themed banners are now installed across San Francisco ahead of the sold-out Aug. 1–3 Dead & Company concerts at Golden Gate Park.
  • Muni has expanded service on the 5 Fulton and N Judah lines and launched the “Your Ticket, Your Fare” program offering free rides to concert ticket holders.
  • Tickets are now on sale for a live IMAX simulcast of the Aug. 3 Golden Gate Park show in more than 30 theaters nationwide.
  • A newly remastered version of the 1977 concert film The Grateful Dead Movie will screen in IMAX theaters on Aug. 13 and Aug. 14.
  • Citywide cultural activations such as tie-dye wrapped Muni vehicles, a Bill Graham Civic pop-up merch venue and a sanctioned Shakedown Street market have launched as hotel bookings spike by 50%.
