Overview

  • The recall extension now covers C4 (2010–11), DS4 (2010–11) and DS5 (2010–13) models, adding roughly 9,968 cars to earlier C3 and DS3 orders.
  • Drivers must immediately cease using affected vehicles under a legally enforceable DVSA directive that carries fines up to £2,500 and potential licence points or bans.
  • Stellantis reports that over 66,000 replacement Takata airbag inflators have already been fitted across the UK and has mobilised extra capacity through franchised dealers and mobile teams.
  • Owners will receive notification letters and can confirm their vehicle status using Citroën’s online VIN check tool or by calling the dedicated recall helpline.
  • Consumer group Which? and affected owners continue to demand clearer compensation and mobility support as repair backlogs stretch into 2026 for some bookings.
