Citi AAdvantage Business Card Returns With 75,000-Mile Bonus and $0 First-Year Fee

The deal lands during American’s shift to Citi as the sole U.S. AAdvantage card issuer starting in 2026.

Overview

  • New applicants can earn 75,000 AAdvantage miles after $5,000 in purchases within five months, with the $99 annual fee waived the first year.
  • Card perks include a free first checked bag for the primary cardholder and up to four companions on the same reservation, priority boarding, and 25% savings on inflight Wi‑Fi, food and drinks, plus a domestic companion certificate after $30,000 in yearly spend upon renewal.
  • The card earns 2 miles per dollar with American Airlines, telecommunications, cable and satellite providers, car rentals and gas stations, and 1 mile per dollar on other purchases, while all spend earns 1 Loyalty Point per dollar toward AAdvantage status.
  • Miles post to an AAdvantage Business account and can be transferred to the personal AAdvantage account of the primary or registered employees, with employee card spend crediting miles to the business account and Loyalty Points to each traveler’s own account.
  • Citi’s common eligibility rules apply, including one bonus per identical card every 48 months and application pacing limits (one card every 8 days, two every 65 days), and outlets note Citi business approvals typically do not add to Chase 5/24; separately, American confirmed Citi will be its exclusive issuer in 2026 and new Barclays Aviator applications have been pulled.
