CISF Inducts 11,729 Recruits in Single Day, Lifting Operational Strength by 8%

Enabled by an expanded personnel ceiling, the intake prioritizes data-driven deployments to high-priority installations.

Overview

  • A total of 11,729 constable/GD recruits, including 1,896 women, joined the force after Passing Out Parades at six regional training centres in Barwaha, Deoli, Behror, Thakkolam, Bhilai and Mundali.
  • Officials said the latest intake raises the operational strength by about 8 percent from a current base of roughly 1.70 lakh personnel.
  • Many of the new women personnel will be assigned to airports and Delhi Metro units where they are essential for security screening and passenger-facing duties.
  • The postings will help staff newly covered and high-importance sites such as Jewar Airport, Navi Mumbai Airport and Bhakra Dam, alongside other critical infrastructure.
  • CISF said allocations were made using assessments of threat perception, public footfall, gender balance and sector needs, a ramp-up enabled by the Home Ministry’s approved ceiling of 2.2 lakh personnel.
