  • At Delhi’s IGI airport on September 28, Customs seized 6,554 grams of suspected marijuana worth about Rs 6.5 crore from two Indian passengers who arrived from Bangkok after spot profiling and X-ray checks.
  • A preliminary diagnostic indicated the Delhi consignment was ganja/marijuana, and the two arrivals were arrested with the narcotics seized, according to the department.
  • At Imphal airport on September 29, CISF detained two Delhi-bound men, aged 20 and 21, and recovered 21.36 kg of cannabis concealed in their luggage during a random X-BIS screening.
  • CISF said the pair were deboarded from Air India Express flight IX-1143 and handed to Singjamei Police in the presence of a Mobile Forensic Unit, with the haul valued at roughly Rs 20–21 lakh.
  • Officials highlighted concurrent enforcement across the Northeast that week, including a separate Assam Rifles–NCB operation in Manipur that recovered 67.26 kg of WY tablets valued at about Rs 53.8 crore.
