CISF Awards DG's Disc to 19 for Uri Operation Sindoor Bravery

The honours recognise lifesaving actions that protected the Uri hydropower projects during May's cross-border shelling.

CISF’s statement came in the context of its Director General’s disc being awarded to 19 personnel on duty at the Uri Hydro Electric Power Projects (UHEP- I and II) that night, who neutralised drones targeting the installation and evacuated civilians amid gunfire from Pakistan.
The DG's disc is a medallion provided by the director general of the force.
Singh said that despite heavy shelling in and around the LOC, there was no major damage or loss of life because the teams on ground had extensively prepared for such an attack. (PIC FOR REPRESENTATION)
