Cinema Audio Society Announces 2025 Awards Nominations

The 61st annual CAS Awards will celebrate outstanding sound mixing across film, television, and documentaries on February 22 in Los Angeles.

Nominations for the live-action feature category include 'A Complete Unknown,' 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' 'Dune: Part Two,' 'Gladiator II,' and 'Wicked,' all of which are also shortlisted for the Oscars' Best Sound category.
Animated feature nominees are 'Inside Out 2,' 'Moana 2,' 'Mufasa: The Lion King,' 'The Wild Robot,' and 'Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.'
Documentary films such as 'Elton John: Never Too Late,' 'I Am: Celine Dion,' and 'Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story' are among the recognized works in their category.
Denis Villeneuve, director of 'Dune: Part Two,' will be honored with the CAS Filmmaker Award, while veteran sound mixer Tod A. Maitland will receive the Career Achievement Award.
The CAS Awards are seen as a key indicator for the Oscars, with many nominees historically overlapping in the sound category.
