Cincinnati Reds Sign Reliever Buck Farmer to $2.25M One-Year Contract

Farmer, who can earn up to $350,000 in performance bonuses, was one of three Reds relievers with at least 70 games pitched last year.

Buck Farmer, a reliever for the Cincinnati Reds, has been signed to a $2.25 million, one-year contract.
Farmer became a free agent after going 4-5 with three saves and a 4.20 ERA in 71 appearances for Cincinnati this year.
He can earn $350,000 in performance bonuses for games pitched: $50,000 each for 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 games.
Farmer was tied for fifth in the National League in appearances and was one of three Cincinnati relievers with at least 70 games pitched.
Cincinnati also designated outfielder Bubba Thompson for assignment.
