CIBC Rolls Out Executive Reshuffle Ahead of Culham’s CEO Appointment

Overview

  • Harry Culham will assume the CEO role on Nov. 1, succeeding Victor Dodig after an 11-year tenure.
  • Kevin Li has been named president and CEO of CIBC Bank USA, while Shawn Beber will transition to special adviser on Nov. 1 before retiring July 1, 2026.
  • Christian Exshaw will lead the capital markets division and Stephen Scholtz will take over as global chief legal officer.
  • Christina Kramer will step into the chief administrative officer post with added governance, ESG, technology and innovation oversight, and Hratch Panossian’s personal and business banking mandate now includes contact centres and client marketing.
  • CIBC has hired investment banker Mark Mulroney as global vice chair in the office of incoming CEO Harry Culham to bolster its senior executive bench.
