Overview
- Ground will be broken Oct. 18 for the Kumasi Ghana Temple, presided over by Elder Isaac K. Morrison of the Africa West Area presidency.
- Ground will be broken Oct. 25 for the Cape Town South Africa Temple, presided over by Elder Carlos A. Godoy, Africa South Area president.
- The Kumasi temple is planned as a two-story, approximately 22,750-square-foot building on a 2.08-acre site near an existing meetinghouse, with an arrival center.
- The Cape Town temple is planned as a single-story, approximately 9,500-square-foot building on a 3.79-acre site at 3 Liesbeek Ave., Observatory, with a meetinghouse and arrival center.
- The church released site plans and a rendering for the Ulaanbaatar Mongolia Temple, a single-story, approximately 18,850-square-foot building on nearly 11 acres with patron housing and a meetinghouse, which will be the country’s first temple.
