Overview
- Google began the global rollout on November 3, with support in all regions and languages but the feature is turned off by default.
- Users can enable Enhanced autofill via Settings > Autofill and passwords > Enhanced autofill on desktop Chrome.
- Initial support covers driver's license numbers, passport numbers, license plate numbers, and vehicle identification numbers in eligible forms.
- Chrome prompts to save these details on first entry, requires user confirmation, and allows Add, Edit, and Delete management in settings.
- The autofill dropdown appears beneath supported fields and can insert your own or a family member's saved information, with Google planning additional data types in the coming months.
