Christophe Dechavanne Steps Back from 'Quelle Époque!' Following Legal Troubles

Christophe Dechavanne, co-host of France 2's 'Quelle Époque!', will announce his temporary departure during the upcoming episode on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The decision follows his February 20 conviction for driving under the influence of cocaine, a repeat offense, for which he has appealed the ruling.
Dechavanne was sentenced to a €1,200 fine, a six-month driving ban, and the confiscation of his vehicle after being caught speeding and testing positive for drugs in August 2024.
France Télévisions and the show's production confirmed the withdrawal was Dechavanne's own decision, citing his desire to prevent his legal issues from overshadowing the program.
The controversy has also affected his other projects, including the cancellation of his Belgian TV show 'Les Orages de la Vie,' which had no new episodes in production.
