Overview

• A jury found Christian Sollitt, 46, guilty at Grimsby Crown Court of six counts of sexual activity with a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of children, and related image and grooming offences.
• Humberside Police said he groomed a girl, sent explicit images, and picked her up from school to take her to secluded locations in Grimsby for sexual activity.
• The case began with a July 2018 third‑party report, after which a child abduction notice was issued but he continued contacting the victim.
• Digital examination of his devices found thousands of emails, voice and video calls with the child plus extreme pornographic images, including material involving children under three.
• He was remanded in custody for sentencing on December 12, and reporting also notes a separate community order for a prior weapons incident at Menwith Hill where police found knives, a machete, a Samurai sword and a crossbow.
