Christen Press Re-Signs with Angel City FC for 2025 Season

The two-time World Cup champion returns to her hometown club on a one-year deal after overcoming a prolonged recovery from a serious knee injury.

Christen Press, 36, has signed a one-year contract with Angel City FC as a free agent for the 2025 National Women's Soccer League season.
Press was Angel City FC's first player signing in 2022 but suffered a severe ACL injury that kept her off the field for over two years, requiring four surgeries.
She returned to play in 2024, making nine appearances and scoring one goal in her 100th NWSL regular-season game.
Press has an illustrious career, including two Women's World Cup titles (2015, 2019), an Olympic bronze medal (2021), and 64 goals in 155 appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
Angel City FC’s new sporting director, Mark Parsons, praised her determination and highlighted her key role on and off the field for the upcoming season.
